ANGUS

Angus was a middle aged Clydesdale that was given to us because he was in such bad shape.  His front right foot was clubbed, overgrown and very painful.  He would get a huge knot in the muslces behind his right shoulder blade, he could not move that leg forward.  When he first came every third step or so his right hind leg would lift way out to the side and into the air much like a male dog peeing on a tree.  We worked on him with everything we had.  He became a true family member, as you can see below.

Soon after he first came to us.

Notice he is not putting any weight on his right side.

He is also very thin and bad hair coat from all the pain.

Chiropractic adjustment inside of the stock because of his size of 18.1 hands.  Each hand is 4 inches.

Several months after we got Angus.

Weight on the right side and improving weight and hair coat quality.

AKA, ELVIS!!!!

UNCLE ANGUS

CORAL RIDING ANGUS....

BRINGS GREAT BIG SMILES!!!!

Angus loved camping at Van Buren State Park!!!  Even if it was just Ron with gangrene toes and him limping around the campground and scaring all the other horses with his size.  Two horse trailers were purchased only after Angus tried them out to make sure he fit so he could come with us.

Finally Ron and Angus healthy enough for a trail ride!!!

Unfortunately, age and disease catches up to us all.

We lost our dear friend and family member the winter of 2005/2006.

We still think about him and miss him deeply.

One old broke down Clydesdale...........zero dollars.

Extra feed and hay, treatments, herbs and medications................hundreds of dollars.

Two horse trailers he can fit in.................thousands of dollars.

The joy and life long memories left in our hearts from his huge hooves........PRICELESS!!!!!
